NOTE: The Z2 no longer comes with a molded center section. The latest units are now EPP wire cut.
This is the new ZXL 81" monster! It starts with a standard Zephyr II, and adds wingtip extensions, extra winglets, and the required larger balsa aileron stock and extended rods. Wing area of approximately 1100 square inches, with a recommended CG point right around 11 inches from the nose.

The original ZII description is below. We'll try to modify the specifics as we get them:
Description from Ritewing RC:
The new injection molded EPOR Z II is finally here ,after 2 1/2 years of tweaking this beast she is finally making an apearance. She has the wing area of the older Z 60 in a 54 WS ,770 SQ inches of wing area makes her a monster little wing. She now will launch and land much easier than the past versions.
The goal was to adress the troubled low speed launch and landing issues without compromising the other end of the spectrum.
I have listened for the last few years to all the Zeph owners.
Zeph is designed as a performance workhorse for FPV UAV and AP.

Here is the Rcgroups link http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1525711I have also seen the Zephs used for nite flying and sport flying, why not it flys great!
The Z II has a new streamlined center section to house even more gear, and as an option the new cnc laser cut Go Pro Camera box can be easily integrared into the blunt setion with ease.
The wings are molded to fit standard size servos and up two 4s 4000 mahr, but have seen some 5s packs fit and some brands of 5000 mahr too, 2 ,4s 3300 in paralel seem to be the norm.
The new EPOR foam type has a little less durability than the previous epp ,but the build can be done without the super involved build process that was required with the weave over EPP.
Epp is a durable flimsy foam and needs the sparring to be done rite and the weave and lam to make it stiff.
I am having the EPOR Z II MFG slightly little higher density than the EPP was to help with its deficiency in durability.
This is done with no ill effect due to the fact that EPP is usually done allot heavier just to get it stiff true and durable ,this takes alot more added weight than the density I am adding to EPOR by making it slightly more dense than the recently used EPP.
EPORE is much more stiff and smooth so you can be lighter more rigid and a much nicer easy finish.
This will make launches easier ,so it now doesn't need survive a bunch of rough launches.
Landing speeds will be 1/2 of what they were on the EPP versions ,so not as much damage when landing hot now, plus your aproahces and launches can be in much tighter areas.
With the pre cut bays you will have a much easier time building now appx 1/3 the time as before.
I built two in a 3 day period without breaking a sweat.
